I am building a 1970 GMC Jimmy. In the upper corners of windshield is a triangular piece of metal screwed to the frame. Mine are rusted and the metal it is screwed is rusted. My question is what are they for? Can I remove them and weld the hole closed? Picture attached
I would ask in the 1st gen section more traffic. that said, it covers the hole and the door rubber bolts/screws to it. I just made a plate and welded nuts on the back to screw the rubber down
