I am looking to purchase a Blazer that has been sitting outside for a few years now without a windshield installed. The current owner said it had primer applied a little over a year ago but the pictures below are making me a bit concerned that more rust is hiding beneath the white primer. Should I run away from this one? I applied a good amount of pressure on the top portion and it did not feel weak or brittle.

looks like the upper area got some hack patching and mud thrown over it to me...

I'm a believer in rust above the glass line in these rigs is no bueno.... floors, sure.. windshield, upper door jams, nope...

That's what I was afraid of! The rust shown in these pictures is the only rust on the entire truck.

From what I've seen on the forum, you are the expert on rust repair, so I will heed your advice and avoid this one.

I just scrapped my last one because of those issues. You could try and find a donor truck and cut that section out of it and weld it in but ya. It’s not worth it.

That is an awesome looking rig!

Funny enough, the Blazer I looked at yesterday was a Fremont, CA produced truck and has spent it's entire life in the desert southwest.
