Windshield pizzer

So a while back my pizzer got weak and finally quit. I replaced my pump after checking all my fuses with no change. The wires go into a bundle thru the firewall. Tried to follow on the other side, but being old, fat, and easily frustrated, I got lost. I couldn't find a way to check continuity so I pulled the column apart just to discover it went thru the pulse module. Unplugged and started checking continuity. I got 4ohm to the pump and 6ohm to the steering wheel switch. Looking across the pulse module, I've got 1.26mohm. Haven't figured out how to check the switch yet as I need 3 hands and the wife is at her cousins.
The switch at the column is $132 and the pulse module is $169!
I'm stuck, frustrated and not sure wtf I'm over or under thinking before I start throwing parts at it.

so plug the 2 ends of the pulse module together, without the module and see if you have squirter and high and low. If you do switch is good. the module will be at fault. If you don't then maybe the switch

Thanks, that makes sense. Ya think can just replace the ignition switch just to get power to it?

You should be able to move the ignition switch with the rod, and not have to assemble any of the column yet

Did it, no worky. Dammit. But now I know more about a steering column than I thought I'd need to know.
Experience is something you get right after you need it.

Double check you have power. Fuse and switch before condemning the switch
