I've orderered windshield weather strip from two different sources and both times received the same part number. I'm ordering weatherstrip without trim. The part number is WBL 848 from precision. I can't figure out how in the heck it fits in? I understand the body groove and the glass groove but.....locking groove and self locking lip? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i cant make ..... out of that pick. hat year truck is it??? i gor mine fom paddock parts i think its the name, no issues at all, mine is an 81 truck

Sorry it's for an 84 chevy k10. I sort of understand how it goes but it just isn't looking right to me I guess?

The lock strip is what is confusing me? Originally I had weatherstrip that had the chrome? strip in it. I am replacing it with one that doesn't. I have it started on the cab.

The weatherstrip goes in the cab first, then the windshield goes into the weatherstrip right? Or does the weatherstrip go on the windshield then the whole assembly goes into the cab?

You have to install the weather strip on the windshield then install it on the truck THEN install the lock strip to keep it in. The lock strip is either black or chrome, that might be where you're getting confused if you ordered it without a lock strip.

I got the windshield in and the lock strip figured out with your help. Only to crack the windshield.
