Well, they will not work all of sudden. There is a just a humming noise. So the moter must be shot right?? thanks mike

sounds like it, might try tapping on the box, is it a humming like the gears are stripped or more electrical?

Try thumping the back of the motor, there is a pulse module board on the back, they are known for going out and causing the same problem /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Mine (98 Sub) are doing the same thing, sometimes they work other times they don't and they just humm. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Can you buy just the module board?

Yes, my 98 Tahoe did the same thing, I just bought the complete motor assembly from Advance (about $65), the module board by itself was $40.

So for the extra $25 I just got the whole assembly.

Gm sent me a letter in the mail for my 1995 C1500, they have a recall on the wiper motors. It is something to do with the solder joints on the board. Maybe your local chevy dealer can help? Mine didn't work and I got it replaced for free.

Your truck should be covered by the recall, but you could easily fix it yourself like Harry said. Let me know if you need a solder gun. It's a 15 minute job. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

67.00 at Napa and it works better than it ever has. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif By the way I checked for the recall and my year was not affected.
