Windstar fan question

Why would I have, like, 8 grounds connected to my windstar's fans grounds? Also, just to make sure, the big fan is the main, correct?
My big fan makes a slight squeal. Is it still useable?

Another question is... what amp relays are people using in the Winstar fan swaps?

Do you have a picture of this connector? I use standard 30A automotive relays - 1 for each fan. Not having heard it, I would guess that as long as you're getting big airflow a little noise is OK. They're generally quite reliable units.

It was just the two grounds from the fans soldered together into 8 new wires.
