how are these visors, like the one on my k5 in the pic, attached? i am considering taking it off, but i dont want to if there its goina leave holes there. my dad thinks there are little grommet things that it fits into, but is there any screws, ect that go through the sheetmetal that would leave holes?

yes, I do believe that it is attached through the sheet metal.

As far as I know, they're just screwed down to the sheetmetal with self tapping screws. Just put some clear caulk in the holes. Or get crafty and use bondo.

The reduction in drag alone is worth whatever effort it takes to remove it and fix the holes.


A friend put one of those on his S10 and lost 2mpg the next tank. It was off before the second tank of gas was gone.

Yup mine is off for the same reason think I'm driving a different truck and they do leave holes I have two sets of holes
