Windshield wiper problems

They will work properly for a while, then they will quit. Then I will turn them on again and they will work....for a little while and then quit:doah:

New wiper motor needed?

Does it do this?
Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off.On.Off?

Funny, I've been having the same problem. But sometimes mine goes

Off..........On..........Off..........On..........Off..........On..........Off..........On..........Off..........On..........Off..........On..........Off..........On..........Off..........On..........Off..........On..........Off..........On.

Let me know when you get it figured out.:D

Seriously, sounds like a loose wire to me or maybe relay.

Mine do the same thing. Its like the motor just slowly runs out of power then they stop. I can turn the switch off then back on and they will start moving again. Mine also only works on High. No Intermittent,Low, or Washer fluid. Only thing that really gets me by is a little rain-x on the windshield but if it comes a flood I can't see nothin.

Sounds like its time for a new wiper motor. The armeture is probably heating up and seizing, then you turn off the power and it cools then does it again. Thats the same reason why power window motors burn out. I got some more life out of mine by pulling everything apart and cleaning and lubing it. Then I was good to go for about one more year
