Well, I'm getting ready to do some major work on the ol' burb this week. I put a 4" Rough Country lift on it last year. I'm really happy with it and even though it does ride a little rough, I've ridden in worse. The only problem is, I ordered 52" rear springs when I need 56" rears, oh joy!

I only had a couple of days remaining until the snow was scheduled to fly so I just threw in some 5" blocks and ran with it. It was a brutal winter here and I literally got it all buttoned up 1 week before the bottom fell out. Well now I'm ready to get rid of the blocks and the saggy ass.

So, this week, I get to drop my tank so I can fix my sending unit wire, knock out those pesky rivets and move the rear spring hangers 4" forward, install the 52" springs, swap out my trans mount for a shiny new one and get my front driveshaft lengthened with U-joints installed, and slap that on so I'm ready for the snow.

It's a good size list to get done before colder weather hits but I figure it keeps me out of the house where the wife and kids are all yelling at each other. :D

Sounds fun! Post some pics when things get rolling.

I plan on it. I'm hoping it all goes smoothly otherwise you'll get pics of me throwing tools and drinking lots of Corona staring at a partially disassembled Suburban...lol

Dropped my front driveshaft off at a local shop today. It needed to be extended after installing the lift. The guys there are going to extend it, put in new U-joints and take the slop out of the splines in the front for just under $300. It's basically going to be a new driveline by the time they're done with it.

It'll be kind of nice to actually have 4 wheel drive in the snow this winter instead of just having a tall 2 wheel drive...lol.
