I'm installing a winters shifter in my k5 with a 4l80e. I have the cable adjusted all the way in and it's about half an inch too long. In order for the cable to be hooked up with the trans in park the shifter has to be between park and neutral. At a loss here.

I think the shifter is also adjustable on the inside? Follow the cable back to the actual shifter and see what you can do.
Yeah I did that both ends are adjusted all the way.
