So my 65 pickup, which I left in ny, I had my buddy getting around to sell, he went to move it today and the spider gears wiped out. Its either a Dana 70 or 80. I was never able to find the marking on it to differentiate.
What are my options?

My initial thought was find a set of junkyard spider gears to throw in it,

A junkyard rear, assuming I can find one with the right spring perch width

Or new gears from a discount place.

Its being sold mostly for the body, he says it doesn't look like anything else was damaged

Weld it and sell as having Lincoln locked rear axle?

Open diff D70's should be plentiful if you want to do the spiders. I'd be amazed if a '65 truck had a D80 swapped in.

Also, D80's are fairly easy to identify just get a good straight on pic of the diff cover.

Sorry, I missed typed its a 60 or a 70, its 30 spline, and I am about to order a set of spiders for it
