I cant seem to find it, but I thought I remember reading about increasing the wipe length to improve view. Does anyone remember this thread or know what size wipers you can get a way with using.

I want to think it's 1" over stock. Look at the wiper tip on the drivers side as it goes perfectly vertical. Distance from tip to windshield gasket is your length limit. I don't believe there is a problem on the passenger side when in the park position. (Edit: ahh, 1" on either end=2" longer, so that's what I was thinking...I stand corrected)
I'd like to increase travel a bit so that park was lower, and at full wipe, it nearly contacts the edge of the windshield. But I believe that would have to be done through the motor/linkage at the motor.

16" is stock, 18's fit fine. The only drawback is increased drag on the wiper motor, so if your wiper motor is weak longer wipers will make that worse.
usually 2" over stock length usually works well on most vehicles.....
i tried 20" for a while on Mutt.. while do-able, it just proved to be a bit long IMO.. it would just nick the weatherstripping, and the very ends weren't touching at certain points, which made them wear funny.. i eventually knocked that back to 18" and really like em now...

I run 18" wipers and have thought about going a touch larger. It's a no-brainer upgrade from the stock 16" blades.
