Is there an easy way to convert the non-delay wipers to a delay setup. After using delay wipers for years the non-stop factory wipers on my Blazer are annoying - especially when its hardly raining.

Now , I am not sure if this will apply to a 75 truck
I have in the past had my delay wipers screw up /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif and was able to un-plug the box under the dash , and simply plug the harness together , resulting in non delay wipers
So , I now wonder if you can just plug the delay box into a non- delay system and have it work /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
You would also have to use a delay switch
BTW this was on a 85 1/2 ton
I am not sure if it will work for your application /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Mabey someone else will know better /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

You'll need the switch and the control box.............think LMC has them both. Not sure if it's a plug and play but hopefully someone else will chime in who's done it.

TTT................that is what I need to do...........I have an '82 K-10 w/delay for parts.

It Is Plug and Play if you have the controller and switch. I need to do this upgrade real soon and have researched it a lil'. Good luck

Plug and play as long as you are dealing with the same vintage of truck. The later switch ('80 or '81 until it went to the column) won't fit in the earlier dashes without hacking the gauge bezel up.

You can, as long as you don't care what it looks like. :)

I can't recall if the metal needs cut as well, or just the plastic.

On the column mount ones you unplug the harness under the little plate cover under dash and put the delay box in to the two ends. Install the wiper/turn signal lever with delay to the column and you are now ready to use delay wipers.

I just did this on my 1987 using my 1989 as donor.

If you have delay and they stop working yes you can unplug box and have regular wipers just go past the delay part on turn/ wiper lever.

Simply Plug n Play, I did this to my '79 K20 with parts from an '80 c10. With used parts this old its hit or miss on getting a working used box and switch.

On eBay the switch arms sell for an average $24.00 if you watch or buy a parts truck for $500 get a motor trans and case ac and all the parts you need.
