Wiper motor and switch problem

Ok so this is my first post here, so be gentle. I have an 83 K5 and I just replaced the wiper switch inside the cab with a new one and replaced the wiper motor as well. When I turn on wipers the windshield washer comes on each time. The switch is the one with mist, delay high and low. Not sure what I did wrong, even switched out old switch and same thing happened. Where am I going wrong?

Where did you get the motor? It could be possible that it is bad, even if it came from a parts store.
I would first unplug the wires for the washer pump and try again. They are the 2 wires in a plug, pink and white. This should tell you if it is in the motor or not.

Sorry that you had to wait most of a week for a response, you probably have it fixed already.
