I love my Suburban enough to try and fix it myself. But, I'm stuck on disconnecting the motor from the linkage through that little access hole on the driver's side. Not as shown in manual. Black nylon or plastic clip holds the motor to the linkage. Is there an easy way to disconnect the motor from the linkage. I'm stuck. Help!!!

On my 85k5 I was able to pull the motor away from the firewall to remove the nut that was holding it to the linkage.

On my two '73's and my old '78 There's two little nuts on the top of that linkage, your need to only loosen them a tad, then the linkage practially falls off.
