I pulled my gauge bezel since I am going to be replacing some old aftermarket gauges that came on my truck and noticed there are 3 vacuum line ports on the windshield wiper motor. One was hooked up to a vacuum gauge that never worked since the other 2 ports were left open. What do those do? How do I hook them up, or do I need to ? Thanks for any help!

Those hoses are for the windshield washer system, that little doo dad they connect to is the washer pump One hose is bigger than the others and is the inlet, the other two go out to the squirters in the cowl. There should be a grommet in the firewall with three holes for the three hoses.

The system likely hasn't worked for 35 years and the hoses have probably missing for nearly as long. The system is a piece of garbage at best as you probably have figured out alread. Convert to an aftermarket electric pump if you want your windshield washer system to work again.

Thanks, I picked up an electric pump a while back, the grommet is still there but now has the oil pressure gauge tubing going through 1. Good to know what it was for.

similar ?

My pump still works I think. When I push the washer button it makes all the right pumping noises, but nothing comes out of the nozzles onto the windshield. I think either the nozzles are plugged with wax or maybe the big inlet tube is disconnected. Am I on the right track?

The mechanism is still working but the pump is bad. The little piston has a rubber ring that seals to the bore that dries out and the rubber check valves dry out and leak as well. You can buy a new original style washer pump to replace your original but it isn't worth the frustration to put it on especially if your Blazer has A/C. I would recommend you install an electric pump (you can even put it under the dash reusing your original lines) and be done with it.
