Hi, my 87' Blazer Custom deluxe has a wiper with only 2 speeds, and has no delay.
I am wondering if to upgrade to a wiper with delay, is as easy as to install a wiper motor pulse board module and also a turn signal switch pulse wiper, instead what I have now from factory, adding the necessary cables.
Thank you
Jordi

Relatively simple. Need the wiper stalk and the delay module. I suspect the wiring from the stalk to the module needs to be changed too, I don't know as GM had the wiring in place for delay whether or not it was optioned on a particular truck. But someone else might know. The turn signal stalk pulls straight out, just be careful you don't break the wires when it breaks free, it takes some force to pull it out.

Worst part will be to snake the wiring down through the column. Don't recall how far you have to tear it down to get to that point, but I don't think too far. Maybe pulling the turn signal switch up and twisted out of the way far enough to access the passage for the wire.

Pretty much any GM with cruise that has a similar column (S10, Astro vans, cars, etc) the stalk will work in, even if the stalk is a different design (some are fat, thin, short, long, etc). Note that at some point GM got smart (IMO) and added a connector very close to the turn signal stalk. That is much superior to the long, thin wiring being one piece from the stalk all the way to the delay module.

The only wire attached to the stalk is the cruise control. The rest of the wiper functions come the wiper switch.

Yup, it's just the wiper switch, pulse module and turn signal lever.
The wiper switch is different for tilt vs. straight column.
The one for a straight column is more expensive than for a tilt column, but it can be had used for less.
I know this cuz I have one!

Why do you need the turn signal switch? On my '83 K5 Silverado I have delay wipers but it is all through the wiper switch on the dash in the regular position by the headlight switch. It's the only one I've ever come across that had delay wipers like that.

The delay module is up above the column behind the removal metal plate.
