Today in my 91 burb, every time I turn the ignition on the wipers make a few passes and then park. Any ideas? Wiper switch is off, and I messed with it for awhile with no change. Wipers function normally with switch turned on.

pulse board more then likely. 96 body style where famous for that same problem.

It's the little delay module mounted on the bottom of the column. There is a replacement available from Dorman, but I think it's $$. You can source a used one or ask somebody you know that's good with electronics. Sometimes it's just a simple diode or something that needs replacement.

You also have the option to bypass the module, as the input and output connectors are just male/female versions of each other. You will lose delay function, but should still have off/low/high/wash.

THanks for the info. I was suspicious that module could cause it, hopefully I have one around here somewhere.
