Okay, so I bought a K-5 yesterday and I've been kinda tinkering with it. The only thing that I can't figure out is why the wipers wont shut off. You have to pull the fuse. Its an 83 and the wiper switch is on the dash. It has three different settings. The very left and middle settings are both the same slow speeds and the very right is fast. So I assume that the very left is supposed to be OFF. The guys said he replaced the switch and that didn't fix it, so what else could it be? Thanks for any help guys.

maybe he didn't put it in right. does it have a harness, or seperate wires ?

My 83 came with most the options , Silverado trim .

Left is off , and from off it can be pushed momentarily even farther left for washer pump and wiper action .

First position right is intermittant , and the knob turns to set time delay higher or lower .

Next positon right is low speed constant .

Last position all the way right is high speed constant .

Maybe has the wrong switch in it .
