wire connector under seat

Can anyone tell me what this connector is for? It is located under seat or thats where the PO had decided to make it end in that area.

IIRC, you can ground it out, and make your seatbelt warning light go away.

Or, just hook it back up, if you are using stock belts.

Right now it doesnt have the light on dash. It still has stock seats and belts. I might just trace it back just cut it.
 
I never plugged mine back in after I put in the vinyl floor. The seatbelt light still comes on with the ignition, but goes out. Since I wear my belt, I figured no need to have the no belt warning. Of course my dash buzzer either died or was disconnected by a previous owner long ago and I don't sweat that either.
