Wire harness tape

I need to take parts of the wire harness apart.

What type of tape do I use on the wire before adding the loom?

What kind of tape did Holley use?

I don’t know what type of tape other than something like 3M electrical tape.

Maybe consider heat shrink tubing if it will fit over the connector, very clean and doesn’t come loose like tape.
