Wire Routing

Just got my new receiver and sirius system. Looks like Ill have to put the antenna on the roof of the cab. How should I run the two thin wires down into the truck? I dont really want to put them thru the top due to pinching them. Maybe somehow thru the slider windows on the topper?

from the looks of your avitar, you have a lighted visor. where are the wires for it going thru?

i ran mine on the inside of the window molding down and under the metal then through the door into the cab i had one exposed spot that i covered with white electrical tape /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I know it's probably to late now but they make a glass antenna for those. I believe it's a pass through type like the glass mount cell phone antennas. You have an inside part and the outside piece that stick to the glass and the signal passes through the glass. You could put one of those on your sliders and keep all of the wiring inside. If I remember right, you got it from Crutchfield. They have a good return/exchange policy. You could check into it if your interested.
