Wires on diesel filter

What are the wires on top of the diesel filter, the box type one? Also Im adding a switch panel to control everything, what size fuse should I have on the IP?

Not sure on the IP's draw, but the pink wire is pretty good size. I'd prolly go with a 20 amp fuse.

The wire coming out of the box filter should be for the fuel heater.

IIRC, there is a place for a fuel heater but it wasn't a stock item. Can't remember where I read that though.

i've run my IP on a 15 amp fuse and haven't blown it yet.

I swear I read there is a fuel heater as part of the model 80 box filter...can't recall if it was a Chilton's or what though.

all the 6.2's i've had with model 80 filter have had fuel heater and water in fuel wiring

That should be standard for anyone in CANADA... but hard to say in the lower 48. I haven't known of any with a heater in it, but I wasn't looking for a heater either.
