ok so i am putting a newer 700r4 tranny (1987) in my 77 short bed. i want to wire up the overdrive. has anyone done this if so witch wires go were

ya really don't need any large amount of wires really, i believe there is a brake switch to unlock the torque converter, and there is also a vacuum switch with wires and power that tells the TC when to lock under certain engine loads, via vacuum detection.

It's setup like this on Pauly383's Blazer, i think his is an '84? factory setup by the way..
I'm not sure how it all wired for power though, never looked it over to find out.

I ordered the kit from bowtie overdrives, it came with the wire, plug, and instructions, worked great when I had a carb'd 350 and also a carb'd 454. I have a tbi 350/700 combo now and just swapped the entire wiring harness/fuse panel from an 87 crew cab 350 into my truck cab and used an 88 suburban motor harness and 7747 ecm to plug in the tranny and 87 fuse panel.
