One of the POs of my burb hacked up some of the main wiring harness under the hood right on the other side of the fuse block and left what appears to be a few parts to an old alarm (shock sensor and a relay). I need to repair it before it gives me any problems, which brings me to my question.
What is the best way to repair underhood wiring?
-solder and heat shring
-solder, dielectric grease and heat shrink
-solder, silicon and heat shrink
-waterproof 3M heat shrink crimp connectors
I'm thinking the second or third option, but I have no experience, so what do you wiring gurus think?

That's usually what I do.
