Hi again,

I finally managed it to get a NOS 1982 - 83 interior wiring harness (including the fuse block )

The installation is quite easy but: the accesory harnesses are disturbing me.

My donor truck is a 1985 with a different fuse block, there are a lot of plugs for the AC/Power Door options and stuff:

Well,
basically I have some problems with the small connectors, do not quite know where I should plug them into the fuse block

The old harness is in quite good shape but has some modifications done by some preowners ... over all I'd prefer to take the new one of course.

BTW:

my truck has
AC and power doors, I'm not planning to install the cruise control.

Any ideas?
Thanks a lot and greetings

Flo

Well since no one else had posted anything yet,
basically
the fuse panel is going to have two types of power, key on power and all the time power

I would just find some plugs in the new harness that meet your needs as far as power and start putting stuff there. All the major fused things should be fused in the fuse block so they shouldn't matter

hey,

thanks a lot for your help!

Unfortunately the connectors of the power options do not fit into my fuse block... It's really a shame that they changed the design so often.

The other connectors are a direct fit... It would be really nice to get it done with this fancy new block.. (besides I've just started to like the old one again)

;-)

Greetings

OKOK ;-)

now I got it, just had to spend a couple hours with my manuals and had to take a look at the wiring harness(es).

I'm gonna install the 83 harness along with a rebuilt 83 column and a new engine wiring harness.

I've got a bunch of NOS parts in my basement and actually have (almost) everything I need for doing that.

Hope I'm able to keep you updated on that issue.

Thanks again and greetings

Flo
