I need the engine bay side of the wiring harness for my 73 Chevy. I swaped my 73 cab on my 80 blazer frame but the harnesses don't match up. Anyone know where I can get just the engine side? Even used. I don't have 500 to spend on a painless, I need like $100 deal

i just called, she didnt know if they made one, awaiting return call, thanks

I will look to see if I have one.
Do you need only the engine part or also headlights and other stuff.

if you are looking for the engine side, original style Brothers has it and forward light harness.are you using the fuse block and wiring from the 73 on the inside?

pick engine size ,gauge or lights and tranny options. they are like 130 and matched the factory harness in the 73 c10 we used one on.

You can't swap the 80 under dash harness into the 73 cab? I know some people don't want to hassle being under the dash, but I feel square body Chevys are easier to get to the Under dash harness then other vehicles. You are going to have to drop the steering column to get to plugs on the column.

I want just the engine side I am using the fuse block from the 73 so I just need the engine side, I will check out the links

Brothers doesn't have the full harness, I need the fuse block plug from the engine side. I only need ign starter lights and signals,

I may have used a harness laying around, but I'm leary selling somebody a used harness.

Have you you tried American Auto Wire? They may have the harness you may need.

I don't know why but there are two wire switch between 73 / 74 harness. I swap a 73 harness in my 74. One wire for the alternator exits wire had consent current. It supposed to to switched on with the ignition. When I parked it, I had to pull the wire off the alternator to keep it from draining the battery. Another thing was the gas gauge didn't work. I fix it later by replacing every thing. Plus a harness I have may have sitting outside.

73 to 74 they switched from amp meter to voltmeter that is why the difference in the wiring.

Don't forget that 74 was the first year of HEI. Points ignition had the resistor wire. That's I could have thought my 74 still had the amp gauge.

i have my starter and ignition on toggle switches so im sure your harness would be better than that, or atleast i could keep the switches and use the harness for the lights and signals.

The firewall plug is altogether different. The 80 one should split into three different plugs while 73 should split into only 2.
