I have a 87 k5. I need to rewire the entire thing. Which wiring harness will run emission devices properly? I live in California so I need it to pass smog tests.

What makes you want to rewire the entire thing,
LMC has the factory harness
I have used both EZ wire and Painless wiring harness.
is this something that you are going to undertake or farm out

Is it that bad that you want to rewire it or are you doing a restoration an want to have new wires?

The guy that owned it before me put a whole bunch of after market crap in it. (Alarm, key fab) butchered the original wiring harness. There are random wires hanging around EVERYWHERE. In the cab, under the dash, in the engine bay. I want to get rid of all the extra stuff and not have such a jumbled mess of wires.

The amount of work you will put in to fix and clean up the harness will be way less than replacing the whole thing.
If you don't know, an aftermarket harness will come with extra long wires and separate plugs, you still have to spend the time to terminate every plug, and spend an extra $300 minimum
