Wiring issue

good friend has an 88 blazer that all of a sudden has both brake lights out and the passenger turn signals are out as well, they have been trying to trace the wiring to figure out where, anyone know of the top of the head where the wiring is run? pass vs. driver side and the basic path from front to back to have a better idea of where to look?

All electrical runs down the drivers side frame rail. From the drivers tail light over to the pass tail light under the bumper vailence and right above the gas tank.

I had a problem with brake lights and one turn signal once, it turned out to be I was using the wrong bulb in the tail lights.
