Painless has OEM style bulkhead connectors, fuse block, and other specialty connectors (like column turn signal connector, etc.), but they are incredibly pricey ($661 for a Painless #10205 kit for our trucks).

EZ Wiring is cheap, but does not have any of the the OEM style connectors or fuse block as noted above.

Are there any other vendors out there with OEM style stuff?

Summit Racing has some AC Delco wiring harness setups that may be what you are looking for. About $500 or so for Delco # 15256489. Amazon.com has a listing of $386. Not sure if they are the exact same product.

If it's still made, mouser.com normally carries it.

It's really hard to find the "specialty" connectors on the site, but that's because the selection is so massive. But knowing the number of terminal cavities helps.

Hey 535, any progress or thoughts on this?

I'm starting to think on re-wiring my 1985 since I've had electrical gremlins for several years now that are proving impossible to track down. I know it is not battery or alternator related.

I saw some 4x4 mag article this or last month, and they used a Summit Racing 18 circuit kit (about $300) to rewire a mid 70's Ford 4x4.

LMC has a kit for about $600 I think.

Anymore I'd probably buy the crimp tool, all the wires I needed, and reuse only the connector. I know I've seen the firewall fuse panel terminals on mouser, and I believe someone here found the strips of contacts used on the fuse side of the fuse panel, so it really wouldn't be too tough to re-wire the thing yourself. If I've got to rewire a vehicle, I don't want a generic harness that has more than I need, or less than I need. From what I'm seeing, it's just easier to build your own. It's also fairly enjoyable.

Actual wire would be the worst part (due to all the variations in gauge), assuming you can find all the terminals.

EZ Wiring harness comes with a fuse box that bolts up to the original spot. However it doesn't come with the through firewall connection part on the back. I chose to use a Molex bulkhead fitting to run my harness.

The EZ wiring harness also comes with some GM connectors like the column and head lights for one. LMC carries most of the rest of the factory connectors with pigtails.
