Ok, So what gauge wire should I be using to run from my battery to the classic 8274? I've got 4 gauge now, but am worried that isn't heavy enough? Also my wire rope is in need of replacing, who would you guys get yours through?

I personally used *i think* 2 ga welding cable. I made my own cables and soldered lugs onto the ends. This has worked very well for me, but I have heard there is a better way than this for wiring something that draws such a high number of amps. Wish I could remember the type of wire, it was a "camp fire" discussion a few wheelin trips ago. And on the wire rope, maybe check out ebay. I have seen it fairly cheap on there.
