I am having issues with my wiring at my starter solinoid.

There is a set of 3 wires that is together when it hooks up to the starter solinoid. 2 smaller ones (about 10 in. from solinoid) go 2 wires to one then a larger wire runs right next to the one wire. They run to one metal ring that hooks to the + post of the solinoid. I fry the bigger single wire. What is that wire and what does it run too? I see it hook to the isolator on the firewall but does it hook to the alternator too?

Anybody have an idea WTF is causing this? I know a short somewhere but any ideas what? Thanks

Harley, this may help. You can bypass the extra connection by starter by taking the wiring from isolator straight to alternator and only having the battery cable and solenoid wire going to starter. Just delete the one spot I circled, it will clean it up a bit also. Mine runs fine and you can look next time I see you.
