Is there a place on the firewall to run wiring from the engine compartment to the interior? If so, where is it?

Typically there are multiple rubber grommets in the firewall that can be opened up to let wires through.
Depending on WHERE on the firewall you want to pass wires through, you can typically snake them through with existing wiring, just don't connect the terminals to the wires before trying.
