Been lookin at harness all day reading trying to understand diagrams.
The one above is a pretty good deal. How hard would it be to deal with? Any ideas for the late night people?
well i purchased the ez-wiring 21 kit... about 10 months ago.. it still isnt in.. more due to no time as i started a new job (after getting laid off) and now my hrs are longer... ALOT longer...
but i have just started back up... the tough part for me is that first I bought all black.. got it $30 cheaper.. but the wires say what they are every 12"
in addition.. you are supposed to drill a hole and run the wires.. im actually going back through the factory harness plugs.. this will enable me to pull apart the truck and have the connectors....
also something to think about.. if you are going to go through a full rewire... check everything else that you may want or need to do... example...
this is what my goals are (and going to get done)
few other things.. cant think of at this moment....
- new wire harness (previous fuse block was shot with shorts and bad wires)
- upgrade 63a alt to 140a pontiac trans sport
- add msd-6al and timing control
- add all offroad lights and to relays
- do quad headlight to relay conversion

. Just want everything to function really. With the wire harness in it now wipers and blinkers dont work.I thought about the black one actually..

i heard bad things about the offroad boxes.. they are sealed and have heat issues.. mine is in the glove box!!! actually it is the glovebox...

well it was free.. ebay purchase.. my msd-6al came with it, timing control and coil pack and 7k,8k,9k rev limiters
so 6al is a keeper.. timing control allows you to advance or retard the timing 15 degrees... so you could set it in the middle and go 7.5 degrees either way or all the way to one and turn it up or down.. if you know your weather climate and have to adjust for seasons.... plus looks cool...

i bought a comp cams extreme 4x4 cam... idle-5k.. so im thinkin 5k too....

i did this.. truck running.... high beams on... voltage at headlights were 10.5v.... on a 14v at alternator system...
there is a massive drain through the harness system..
if you allow relays to control low and high beams (not the light switch directly) then you would see a massive brightness increase...
