Cause I just got a blazer that is meant to go off road. :D

By far my largest/best built blazer to date.

One ton drive train, doublers, cross over, 5:13's, 38's...a really sweet list of stuff for 4x4xing.

One pic is all I really have right now, just dubbing around playing with the twin t-cases.

Sweet, looks nice!
Head for the hills this weekend and give it a try, sounds like you should beabel to walk faster than it crawls :D

Wow congrats man! You bought grendals blazer!
I've seen that thing once at pismo for memorial day weekend. Looked built to wheel & take some abuse... :thumb:
I know you're gonna have some fun with that thing since it already has a 60 and a doubler, and its been hacked for sliders.
...now you and Greg can get out exploring the local trails together! I haven't seen any pics of wheeling out in BFE where you guys live.. :rotfl: :dunno: :saweet:

Well, traded/swapped really.
grendel wanted to build a big block truck and I had a factory 402 shorty.
Mixed in an additional cab/chassis with a blazer chaser and it all worked out.

Looking forward to trying it out.
VT's a little 'tight' about just going out an wheeling around, so I need to find some places to go legally. < :wink1:

If I know Kurt (...and I'd like to think I do!) give him about 2 months and then ask him for some new pics.

He's already tearing into that thing like a hobo on a ham sandwich!!! Lots of improvements for functionality and aesthetics. He's really gonna start making me look bad in a matter of days!!!! :D

Started with the grille and dash cluster.
Will be cutting out the hacked up dash and replacing it with an uncut stock piece. Also installing a 72 steering column.

Then its on to the wiring harness, pulled the one I'll be using already, just need to pull and send back to grendel the wiring he needs to use for the guages that were in it before. (full electric guages) Lots of wires there. :eek1:

Two Month Report

Got some stuff done/repaired/installed...added pics.

-Original dash cluster from a truck that only had 68,000 miles on it.
-Complete rewire using all factory wiring. No hacks/cuts or splicing.
-Changed out the 73+ steering column with a 72 tilt column.
-Installed a Lokar column cable shift kit. (works pretty good)
-Ordered/installed another coupler from Borgeson to adapt to the 72 column.
-Cut up another tranny cover to fit the triple sticks, so no extra holes anymore.
-Got the cage all bolted down/bolted together.
-Had to raise the seats up about an inch to get back to a normal driving height.

Lots of little things that needed attention but don't need to take up space here.

Everything works now! :eek1: Even have a license plate light.

Planning on doing a shake down trail run this weekend. :smirk:

Had to show the tranny cover I removed...

Passed inspection with the 33's and came straight home to change.

Put on the 37's, with any luck jonny law will leave me alone.

Is that what I see attached to your column? What does it do? Don't think I ever seen one BE-Fer?

So JonnyLaw has a tire size law were you live?
Lookin good :D

Looks like that rear axle needs to be pushed back some.

I bet it looked funny with 33's :D

Thanks a sweet blazer.

What did the tilt come ou of, I'd like to find one :o

What it does is change the linkage from solid likage that might bind up when you flex 4-wheeling to a cable system that never will.
Plus, the shifter that came with the blazer was made to mount on the tranny cover (B&M Mega shifter) and I didn't really fit so great with the triple sticks so I changed it back to a shifter on the column.
Yes, that's the aluminum part you see attatched to the column.

Not really a tire size law per say but there is a bumper height issue.
I'm way over it but they sorta let it slide if you "look" legal.
