I can get my hands on a 86 short bed 4x4. 5.0 700r4 np208 and 10b. New tires. Runs and drives good. very little rust. for 1k

Next up, 73 k5 4x4 4spd 400 sbc runs and drives. TMU for 1600 for the year it has just about know rust.

So what would you guys go for? after this i am done i have to many tucks now.

as always thx guys

73 K5 because its a full coverable and its a 4speed

Also the 400 is sweet

No question, the K5. 10 years from now, the pickup will still be a pickup. It will never have the value that a K5 will have.

wish i could get both. might be able to if i sell my old buban and k5 i guess then i could do it. thx guys think i might go with the k5.

Well I guess I'm the oddball here, I've always liked shortbeds. That 86 sounds like a solid daily driver after some work, that OD would be nice to have. Full convertable K5's are great too, and the 400/ 4-speed would run. I'd grab whatever's in better shape.

Well i personally would never buy a witch truck because it's probably cursed... but if i had to, i'd go with the k5, sounds sweet. :D

You know if I can remember correctly, I'm not sure that in a K5 there was a 465 ever put behind a 400sbc. I though it was all autos, you might want to check that out, something might no be original.

That one ^^^^

IMO doesn't matter pickup or Blazer.....

It has the best trans, either the tough 205, or the Doubler-ready-203. Plus flat-top knuckles (if stock).

Looks like the p/u is out. The guy that has it now started to pull it apart. So, looks like i am going with the k5. will get some pics too. mike

Want me to go check-out the K5 for you? Just let me know where it's at.
