In between hours of binge reading NorCalX (Mike, or 69, or something, I blame the use of "NorCal" on my confusion), I did find a little time on Wednesday to work on this thing.
Pulled the 6" Tuff Country EZ-Ride lift springs from the front of this cobbled parts rig.
Here is the bump stop to top of spring pack with the rearched factory springs.
Here is the same measurement with the Tuff Country springs.
This picture was actually taken one minute after that ^ picture. I don't care for my new iPhone (it's actually a loaner, but it's newer than the one I had).
Tuff Country limit straps.....
Apparently Tuff Country specs the same shock for their 4" and 6" lift. How??? For some odd reason, one front shock was shot, the other one was perfect. This thing was lifted, and then never really used. The tires had zero miles on them. It was an unfinished project. I was a little surprised a shock could go bad sitting around not being used. I figured I would just buy a new matching one, just to have a matching set for now. Wow, are these a short shock. They are 14.25" collapsed and 23" extended.
Also I found out, that Tuff Country stamps a different number on their shocks, than they use in their books. Why, I have no idea???
