WL: 1988 V10 Suburban

Mitchell is supplying one, but thanks. I had an extra, but I gave it to Chris for his white '78 K10.

Drove to Lincoln for the swap meet. It developed an intermittent problem where it loses power, the tach climbs a few hundred rpm, and bounces. It also backfires a lot.

Now on the way home, it switched from an intermittent problem, to just the way it runs. It takes about a mile to reach 60 mph. Real fun.

I am not getting a check engine light, and absolutely no change in fuel pressure. I assume it is in the distributor. I have always bad mouthed MSD, and them I don't even heed my own advice, and I install one of their parts in my rig. Smart.

We always have something to deal with

The only confusing problems I have with my Sub is the electrical.
There seems to be gremlins in there since doing the Stroker and Fast Multi port Injection. May end up with a full harness install in it's near future.

With any luck Martin your problem will be limited to just the distributor like you mentioned.
Hope all goes well!
Few things are worse than being loyal to our old GM's and having them let us down.

Any progress or updates on your suburban? Seriously considering doing a 700r4/208 to 465/205 swap into my 84

I had the front drive shaft shortened last spring.

I picked it up last week.......

Wow, five years. I put the trickle charger on it a month ago, and then drove it around my yard.

I should do something with it. I really like this thing.

I went back and fixed most of the pictures in this thread.

I should stab a different cam in it, and fix it up.

Unfortunately my wife hates this Suburban for some reason.

Maybe it's the stories of debauchery from before her time???

It could use a refresh of the Krylon. I do like the late model wheels on it though.
