Is it worth getting for $85? It looks complete...I can't find much info on it, so I am wondering what it is capable of. All I know is that it works with obd1 and 2. I am also looking at an autoxray pro pack 35000 for the same price...thoughts?

I mainly want something that can record and display what my sensors are doing.

I have an OTC 4000E. It's been a while since i've used it but it does have lots of info as far as sensor readings although i've never tried to "record" to view later (not even sure if you can do that). You could purchase an ALDL cable and use a laptop with winALDL and get the same amount of info on sensors cheaper than the $85 for the OTC but the OTC is nice in that there are specs on sensors and how to test them with the OTC.

I have an old windows key for a broken lap top, but I have had issues running windows on a mac in the past...I would hate to buy stuff and have it not work. I wonder if I can make my own cable...

I made a cable for winALDL that worked fine, when dealing with the faster ECM's though I chose to just buy one. Well, I bought the APU1 from moates and killed all the birds with one stone actually. lol

But yes, if dealing solely with the '747 ECM the build your own cable is fairly simple. If you want to start dealing with the faster ECM's you can still build them, just a bit more complex. OBD2 stuff I know nothing about.

I bought the auto xray. I am worried about getting windows to work on my aging mac, and the cost of a proper cable isn't much cheaper than what I got this for, let alone RT. It should do what I need it to. If not, I can sell it and try the windows-tunerpro route.
