I bought a set of wobble sockets because they seem like they would be handy. Unfortunately the set I bought doesn't seem to work very well. The wobble part is not stable at all.

Curious if there are better recommendations. Hopefully Snap-On or MacTools aren't my only options.

Okay, so its more the type of "wobble" than the brand potentially.

This is the ones I have. Very nice. Worked better than duct taped sockets for bell housing bolts..

The best part with the extensions is you don’t have to buy big sets of sockets.

You could even get on eBay and buy a 1” wobble extension and use it between your socket and ratchet or regular extension to create a wobble effect.

wobble ball sockets are the best, Snap on has deeper shallow than Mac. these are the 2 I have experience with. I like Snap On the best. I do have a 1/2" drive, male/female,Wright Tools it is pretty stout. You can put any size socket on you want. Make sure your sockets have holes(impact) and you line the stud on wobble with hole, or you will be searching the shop for your socket when used with air tools

Not sure how much wobble you are needing but if not a lot you might consider wobbler extensions, these might offer greater versatility.
What I've needed in the past is short clearance. A socket on the end of an universal joint extension ends up being too tall. This came up for me again torquing the intake bolts on the Pro-Flo. There were 1 or 2 bolts that I could only get on with those wobble sockets. But half the time the universal joint on those sockets jams up. I had a 1/4" universal joint extension that worked a little better and worked for 2 other bolts.

Same style I have, I have never had a complaint.

Not this unit or vender but something like this would better for your Broflo. Just remember to consider the added leverage in your torque spec.
I think having the torque even is more important then the actual spec.

Oh yeah those would work. You can see in the picture I have open end crowsfeet, but they didn't help in this instance. I had a lesson on torque wrenches when I was in the Navy so I get the multiplication part. I've used it a number of times when I didn't have a big enough rated torque wrench. I have a homemade 2' torque multiplier. :D

I think it depends on what you're trying to use them for...

I've r&r'd many a chevy engine & transmission and worked on many Harley-Davidson motorcycles over the years and used my 3/8" drive made in usa craftsman 12 point flex sockets simular to what you have shown as well as 1/4", 1/2" drive flex sockets.
A 1/2" or 9/16" with a 3 foot extension is perfect for chevy bell housing bolts from k5 blazers with tons of room to 3rd gen camaros with no room.

decades ago when I was buying 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" drive wobbles in sae & metric I only remember being able to find the ones on a ball swivel vs the ujoint/roll pin design in impact sockets. The impact sockets are generally not as good as the 12 point or 6 point flex sockets because they're thick & beefy, 12 points are thinner than 6 points in same size. And by good I mean good in tight spots.

I have the ball swivel impact's too, but they do not get used as much as the others for what I work on.

Wobbles, Flex Sockets are the most used tools in my box.

Sometimes for really hard to get to shit I'll put a universal behind the flex socket or wobble, a recent example of this for me is 3rd gen camaro motor mounts, they're a bitch to get to without dropping the k-member, and or other suspension parts.

My tool preference is American Made IF I can get it... I like Snap-On, Mac, Matco, Cornwell, and Craftsman before they went to China.

Everytime I've bought a foreign made tool I've been disapointed sooner or later.

I'll pay extra for American Made.
