Hi,
as I started to work on my truck again,, I opened my well-packaged cartons full of new parts and discovered my NOS m1009/m1008 interior wiring harness and a new 6.2 diesel engine harness. got these parts quite a time ago for 40$ and 70$ ... and I almost forgot that I have them.

Can I use the M1009/1008 interior wiring harness to rewire my truck? Please note that I want to keep my AC/power windows etc. I haven't had the time yet, to compare the fuse blocks, but if it is possible, I'd prefer to take the new harness -of course- it looks quite sexy in it's nos package.:D

Greetings

You should be able to make it work one way or another... You may have to save parts of your old harness to do it though. The question is how well do you know wiring/electrical?

hey kenny,
well, electrical stuff is not my specialty so far :crazy: at least I am able to figure out where the different harnesses have to go and to be plugged in (f.e. power door wiring harness etc.)
It would be easy if I just could plug in the harness for my power options somewhere in the new fuse block, but unfortunately the designs of the fuse block are different :doah: .... I have started another thread in the 73 -91 forum, hope I can find out more about that topic. I'd reallly love to use the new harness.

greetings
