Truck has been in pieces for 2 years. Got it running around 8pm and had to go test it out around the block in a cleared out field. 6.2 with open exhaust and almost getting stuck equals people calling the cops. Went to leave and the red and blues were waiting on me. Got me for no registration, inspection, insurance. 1 Hour in a cell,$620 bond + $185 to get the truck out of impound.

If I get the registration and inspection done in 30 days they will be dismissed. Going to get a layer for the no insurance. Hope to get my bail money back.
Lesson learned don't **** with the Katy police.
The funny thing is I was less than a mile away from home with the truck. Yet I had to drive it 15 miles from the impound lot with no ins, reg, inspection back home in the rain. No doors, or roof. lol

Wrong my bail money will be giving back to me.
Just got insurance, inspection and registration today.
Now I just need a lawyer to get the no insurance ticket dismissed.
...and still no current pics or video of the truck.

I don't know about Texas.. but here that would make a BIG difference on what they could even write a citation for...

The cop stopped me while on the road, but only about 75 yards from where the field was. There were also two of us, friend in his 88 K5. Cop saw both of us leave the property. Stopped us, asked for our license and insurance, I forgot my crap at home. Cop goes back to his car for about 10 minutes, 2nd cop rolls up. 2 minutes later I am cuffed by 2nd cop, says I am being charged with the lesser of the two he could charge me with. The traffic violations or trespassing. Friends truck was 100% legal and he also had my 3 year old daughter in the back sleeping so they let him go.
In Texas you have 10 days to get your registration and inspection after you get a ticket and they will be dismissed. The no insurance I will get a traffic layer to get it dismissed, may cost $100 or so.

That still blows in terms of wasted time.
At least you can get your registration fines dropped.. here in WA if your tabs are expired its $124.. over 2 months and it's $250. You can't be charged with criminal trespass here either unless you've been trespassed and either come back or refuse.
What's registration cost in Texas?
Mine's $88 this year.. normally would be $58 but I've got special plates...

Reg was $62.40 $15 more for specialty plates
Inspec. is $15.00 safety only truck is older than 25 years Plus $20 extra to the inspec. guy since my truck is still missing exhaust, rear view mirror and ebrake.
Didn't even have to take my truck out of the garage. lol
