...installed a remote solenoid...bought the kit from Summit ($42 to my door), took about an hour, knowing what I know now, I coulda done it for half that...at least my Blood Pressure is back to knormal... /forums/images/icons/cool.gif
<font color="green"> Yup, that should do it. I had a hot start issue a couple years ago during the electric fan fiasco. Installed the Summit kit and haven't had a problem since. Except of course when the starter gets packed with mud. /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif </font color>
For those who tend to have wire laying around the house....Just go to your local parts hangout and get a solenoid from and old ford truck or something. THere are basically 2 styles so it's hard to mess up. It only cost me about $6.50 for the solenoid and i had the extra wire around here. Low Budget Build Ups Rule !!
