WOOHOO Im part of the K30 club!!

oooo propane sorry to hear that. why did you choose propane over water/meth or nitrous?

I went propane mostly for the milage increase. performance was a bonus. I crank it down real low and maintain a 15% fuel economy. Ive got it set to where it runs whenever the truck is running, and with the 5 gal hyster tank, it emptys when my deisel does. 5-30 ratio.

I try to gain economy wherever i can, I put a good 800 a week on the dodge.
Plus, I got a really good deal on the propane injection, when i get the same on a water/methanol setup i'll buy that too:)

Before too long, im gonna pull my 12v and reseal it, figure I'll be O ring'ing the head then as well.

How much is propane Vs diesel where you're at?

here propane is more expensive than diesel per liter. Adding a 2nd fuel so you burn less diesel. that theory is void here. mater/meth and nitrous are oxidizers not fuel too.

whats your timing set at? thats a huge economy factor.

I think i paid 1.40 per gal the other week, its about 30-40% less than diesel, so after you figure that, it makes sense for me. How much is diesel per liter there?

Ive never messed with my timing, honestly im not too sure how. what a noob huh?

Weird how Alberta would have more spendy propane than diesel. Here it's 0.85/litre for diesel and 0.60/litre for propane.

pane is 79c L, diesel is 76c L at the Flying J truck stop near where I work. pane also has 40-50% LESS BTUs than diesel. so factor that in.

bumping 3-4 degrees advance from stock timing will net you the biggest MPG gain for really not changing anything mechanical at all. a few MPG gain for sure. and more power from a more complete burn.

P7100 owns the CP3. :p:

my HRVP fueled that bitch to 606rwhp on the stock camshaft and straight diesel. so I can't complain about it too much.

haha yeah , But being able to switch your tune on the fly is the nice thing about common rail and VP44 trucks

I've never dyno'd my truck but it ran 13.50 @108mph in denver last year. I need a better t-convertor it slips any time I turn the Smarty/TST past 4/4 I also run a Snow Stage 3 and an ATS twin setup

ok i need to move to the other side of the country... that K30 is BEAUTIFUL...! wanna trade...?!

thanks man, this truck is more than I ever hoped to find in a CC. Ive been averaging 17mpg in town with the diesel and 5 speed. I'm picking up a 6" lift for it tomorrow,

Anybody care to guess how much I got the truck for?

nice find, subscribed to see where it goes from here.

thousand bucks, just a guess, thats what i just paid for my 87 c20 cc....eventually doing a 4x conversion.

$2200, but with the D60, NV4500/205 combo, I figure I did pretty good.

Im not going to go nuts with this thing, just going to clean it up, small lift and Mild tires. Might pull the engine and reseal it.

Im going to focus my energy on making it low maintenance and reliable. As a purpose built tow rig, Im considering pulling the bed and putting a service box on it. The tool storage would come in handy. have only seen one i like though, And that is rjfguitar's. His has really low sides, painted body color. VERRY clean.

yes consider i gave 1k for a 2wd, factor in the d60/nv4500 and diesel, you prolly actually paid less than i did for the vehical itself!

hey, i only paid $1425 for mine... the deals are out there...!

service box, diesel + stick, low maintenance and trail worthy... i think we're building the same truck... but i dunno if i'm going flat bed or service box yet...

hmmmmm... tax return is coming, i think i need to open my eyes more...

sounds like we are...got pics of yers? bought a 6" lift today, just the springs and rear blocks, but the springs are new... Cost me 100 bucks.:D

Noticed my cab clearance lights arent working, I need to figure out where that circuit is and fix that. without cab lights, this truck is just another truck...

in a couple weeks my tax return will be in, and me 4" draglink, and 6-8" stainless brake lines will be bought, then the lift is going on... i want, really bad, to go 6.2/465/203-205 - right now it's just 350/400/205

i have designs for a flatbed, but a servie box woule be just as sweet, cuz my flatbed would have tool boxes on it anyway... only a flatbed would have better area for hauling wood and scrap, and a wooden flatbed wouldn't rust out like a service box... i'm kinda torn...

Dude, with a doubler, that thing would be wicked low geared combined with a 465... What axle ratio is yours?

how much did your 4" draglink run you and where did you order it from?
Also, how well does that 350 move that truck around?

My other 6 pack came to me stripped of its front axle and engine, Im having to cheap it back together with a 3/4 ton front and a smallblock 350. IM hoping it doesnt suck too bad. I actually just finished it up tonight, drove it home from my shop this evening.. I'll post up some pics tomorrow!

i'm hoping that doubler and 465 will be good... i'm actually getting my 4 speed in a week... with a 205 on it, AND there's a dodge 3/4ton in the yard too, with a 203, so that's coming with me...

the 4" draglink i'm getting from National Tire & Wheel for $110...

the 350 moves really well... i'ts a reman GM goodwrench motor, i don't know how old cuz i'm the lucky bastard that bought it in the truck...! i can light up the tires, and i can jump on rust-ang's at the lights... when i want to, of course... most of the time i drive like an old fart so i can get decent mileage... that 7750# truck likes to drink when i get on it...!

yeah, need PICS...!
