WOOOOHOOOO...Just got off the phone with ORD!!!

I just did this to my blazer. Dropped the gas tank, used a grinder on the rivets then beat on the stock hangers until they came off. Then I had to grind the rivets even with the frame and beat them out with a punch. I did the drill bit trick with the first spring bushings took forever big mess still had to drive the bushing out with a BFH and a punch. I had better luck on the second. I took a sawsall and cut the bushing and then drove them out with a BFH and a punch. Make sure you are hitting the metal sleave for the bushing with the punch. I also used lots of WD40.

I'm in northeast corner of town at about 21st and Alpine. As far as seeing your truck goes I can't say that I've seen it. I usually pay attention when a built rig goes by so I'll be looking.

Are you living here now or just visiting?

Jason

Living here. I just got out of the Marines, and moved back here. Born and raised in Loveland. We should get together sometime. Me and a guy I work with are gonna do Carnage as soon as it thaws a little. Wanna roll?

Got her done!!! I still need longer brake lines cause I think if I flex it all the way, they are gonna tear. I'll get pics up soon. Looks great, flexes good so far, and it actually seems to run smoother than before. I actually think the flip and new springs set the pinion angle just about perfect, and now I have ABSOLUTLY no vibes in the drive shaft at all.
Do have a few questions left though....Anybody know where/what kind/part numbers for some break lines front and rear? I don't need fancy stainless braided or anything, some napa specials would be fine. Also, what did you guys torque your ubolts to? I did about 110 ft/lbs. Seems to be fine, and I guess the only way I'll ever know it's not is if my axle asses me on the trail....

I just took the bushings out of a pair of springs and took a slightly different approach with the torch. Rather than trying to burn/melt all that rubber away, I stuck the torch tip inside the bolt hole and heated up the sleeve, then the sleep pushes out, the rubber folds right out, and you can have at the other sleeve. Was WAY neater, faster, and better smelling than the first eye where I burned out the rubber =)
