On my sons '73 C10 Pickup the PO had put on the 4" lift but not the extended SS brake hoses...
I did the fronts and that was easy, but the rear hardline to flex hose joint would not move.. I soaked it with PB blaster for several days, and tonight I thought I had it loose.. and I did... the problem was that the metal line was rusted in the union and as I rotated the union, the line snapped.

I looked at the pipe all the way up to the chassis rail and it looks pretty rusty.
Its dark now, but is there a way of fixing this simply?
Where is the next joint?

not exactly sure where the next joint is... but find it and go rent a line bender from auto zone, if you don't have one.. then route your new line... Really only one way to do it.

yeah, they have brake line in lengths witht he fittings and flares already on... if you can't get a long enough piece you'll have to get coupler and join two together. Or you can rent the flareing tool from them too. Then you could just cut the line whereever you determine would remove all the rusty looking stuff and put you're own flare and fitting right there. Bet make sure you get a line cutter so you don't crimp the line. And be sure to put your fitting on the line before you flare it! All these tools are available for rental at AZ.

Easiest thing to do if you're not familiar with flareing and all that is to find the connection and just replace everything back from that point.

Make sure the flaring tool is a double flaring tool too. You don't want a single flare on a brake line.
