Work in progress......

SEM is the only way to go on the dash and plastic, it is actualy dye not a paint.

Looks real good

How did you fix your dash pad? Is it a cover? Mine was so bad I peeled off the vinyl top so all I have now is just the padding underneath. Is there hope for my dash pad? Did I just really screw it up? Buying a new replacement is not an option.

No it's not a cover. I got real lucky and found a vey good one at the wrecking yard. It was blue but flawless, so i cleaned it up real well and used some SEM vinyl paint (dye) whatever you want to call it. And it turned out well.
Got lucky he only charged me $20.00 for the dash pad.

Wow, nice work looks great. Really like your DP on door panel idea, wanted to do that myself then insert some 6x9's in there, really like the DP on the back to. For a steering wheel i was going to go with the later chevy pickup steering wheel, was going to get the 88-95 pickup wheel. but i like the lumina wheel to looks good.

Thanks man, as of today i'm getting all the gauge wiring tied in. Should not be that big of a deal i had a pig tail from the back of the gauges ready to go. Right now i'm off to lowes to get a nipple for my Oil P gauge and it looks like it will be on the road!
Have not got my new wheel yet been so friggin hot, climbing around Hornet infested wrecks at the wrecking yard aint no fun. I'll have to wait till it cools down more and the Hornets go dormant......and again........Thanks, Roger

Thanks,
No progress this winter, the weather is getting better now. I have everything pretty much rapped up on the inside. I still need to get a new Tach. & Cd player, would also like to get a new steering wheel and different seats. As far as the DP goes, i went to the steel yard. The metals market drives the price, so it will vary. But i think you will get the best deal there. Again.......Thanks

Thanks,
The Tach will be to the left of the Speedo, not a real direct line of site but it will do. I have one in that spot now problem is .........no worky, my nieghbor thought he would help the project by donating the Tach. After i fabbed everything up and installed he says "I don't know if the Tach works or not" (WTF!) oh well at least i have my spot cut out and wires all handy.
Again.......Thanks

Yeah, helpful friends can be less helpful than they think.

Trying to decide where to put a tach in mine. Then again it's a diesel so just figuring out how to wire the thing will be fun.
