Does anyone have a workbench on wheels?

We have a wharehouse, 240' X 80', and a heavy duty workbench on wheels would be ideal.

Would be nice to roll it and a tool box to anywhere in the wharehouse or outside on the concrete aprons to work on equipment, machinery, 4X4 Play Toys, etc.

Have searched online with little success.

Was thinking all steel with 4 locking solid steel caster wheels, or caster wheels that lever over center to let the bench legs sit on the floor.

Don't see any problem with wheels on a workbench. Just make sure they exceed the weight you'll put on them;) Maybe wheel jacks for scaffolding? If your warehouse floor is uneven it would certainly help for that:D

I have just about everything in my garage on casters. it makes it so easy to rearange my garage when I bring either a new piece on equipment home or if Im in the middle of building something I can move things to accomidate what Im working on. caster wheels are the bomb.

my welding table which also has my table top 15 ton press on it, welding cart, axle stand, ofcourse all tool roll chests, and a couple of storage cabinets are on wheels.

my 20' disc grinder, lathe, drill press, one really heavy cast iron 4 head gang drill press table, and a couple of other storage cabinets dont have casters, but thats just because I have not gotton around to it yet. probably wont do my disc grinder or lathe. those should be staionary.

Id try to find some casters with rubber on them, if you move it alot your gonna get real sick of listentings to Metal on pavement

I have a steel workbench with a top and bottom section. I have a small vise on it and is on 4 casters. It is nice to move it around here and there.

I've got a 4' X 8' rolling workbench with a 5/8" steel plate top. I don't use it anymore as I replaced it with a smaller but thicker one. I would entertain the idea of selling it, and can get it closer to you late this month. PM if interested.

My whole garage is on wheels. I have one side for all my tools and my wife has the other side for her car.
10" Table saw - retractable wheels
Delta band saw - on wheels
cabinet that holds vice, drill press and sander - retractable wheels
and finished a welding table that holds my welder, plasma cutter and other stuff. 24 x 36 top

Please tell me where you found the clamp holding your bottle...

I picked it up at Phoenix Welding Supply. It's made to bolt up, but I cut that section off and welded the clamp to a 1/8" thick cross member.

Any idea of the manufacturer?

I am trying to find a suitable way to secure my OBA tank in the bed of my truck. It is just less than 10" in diameter and 2 of those clamps might be just the thing I need.

I picked mine up at the Mesa, AZ:

They are open right now. I wish I knew. I removed the label.

Looks like I've got an home built extra heavy duty 4' x 8' workbench on wheels bought, thanks to a another CK5 member! :thumb: Just need to work out the transportation plans.

But for those of you who are interested, check out the following link.
It is the only commercially available workbench that I could find, that looked like it would work for me. Would need the legs cut off and caster wheels added to suite the desired height.

Check out the caster wheel options.

might want to consider brakes on the wheels.

The pictures I received of the bench I am purchasing, show non-locking wheels.

I'm guessing there should be at least two locking wheels, if not four.

Most of the caster wheels on the previously mentioned web site are also available with locks.

The wheels sure are expensive, at least on that web site, for anything heavy duty with a decent weight rating. Need to shop around some.
