Since I have the week off of both school and work this week I have finally found some time to tackle a few small projects. At least I have a computer in the garage for access to CK5. Makes it easy to find information when I am in the middle of working on something.

So far I found the EGR is non functional on my '93 S10. No one has the part in stock so it will be tomorrow morning before I can pick it up. I came up with a code 32 and testing with the vacuum pump directly on the EGR it doesn't hold vacuum or open up.

Next I will be tackling some power window issues in my '83 K20 and try to finish up the new wiring I started back in September :doah:

be sure to grab a couple cans of carb/throttle body cleaner. Last few s-10 EGR valves I have changed where full of carbon build up.

I was able to finish mounting the front CUCV clevis mounting brackets and brush guard today. I had to take the bumper off, drill 4 holes, mount the brackets... fight to get the two rusty bumper bolts holding the side braces onto the bumper loose... mount the bumper and brush guard and now all that is left is to put the clevis and pins on in the morning.

I just need to finish up the interior this week, then throw on a coat of paint when the weather gets back up into the 70's...

i had that problem alot with my s-series blazer w/ the 4.3L V6. i found that 90% of the time I could romp on the throttle and get the valve to open up enough to let the chunks of carbon pass through. It was a little frustrating the other 10% of the time when I had to pull the valve off and pull the chunks of carbon out... infact, I had to do it once in Redding, CA at a gas station in the middle of snowing winter in shorts and a wife-beater because I was moving to Seattle and had all my warm clothes tucked way back in my trailer... :doah:
