Worst Day Ever Pics (post 'em up!)

Where is that?

The pics are side by side on my computer, very very wide but anyway here is a bad day, it was hot, humid and I had my daugther with us, there were three rigs all stuck in "blueberry clay" very far from anything and no cell service. I was a little scared that she would go into heat exhaustion and no way to get out, a lot of work hand wicnhing the jeep and toyota out, then both of them hooked up to me and we got out safe and sound.

Hey Sapper,
Is that Lejeune or Croatan? That muck looks familiar!

It was stolen and stripped, then left for dead in the desert south of Tuscon, AZ. They took my Goodyear MT/Rs, my rims, my seats, my stereo, my amp and subs, my grill, my headlights, my tranny cooler, and even a little rubber chicken I had hanging from the rearview. I had to get new gears in the axles, a new driveshaft, new faceplate for the instrument panel, and new glass on driver door and rear window.

I didn't know it, but apparently my truck is allergic to being stolen.

Al

Just be sure to stay out of the bad parts of Killeen!

This is a photo of the truck a week after we got it finished, and the day after my 16 year old son brought home the report card that was to allow him to drive the truck to school.

His grades were not up to snuff, so all that he can do is stand next to the truck, or sit in it while it is parked in the barn.

I took this picture to remind him of what is waiting for him when he gets his grades up. This was one of his "worst days ever", because it is a constant reminder of what he cannot have until he gets his butt in gear.

This was probably my worst. I didn't have 200 miles on it after spending about $4000 getting it going. My buddies and I went to a 4x4 park and I entered 3 competitions. I only made 2 of them. This is what happened when I tried to go through the "Money Pit" the wrong way. tweaked the body so bad that neither of the doors or the tailgate will go back on, need a whole new front clip, and snapped the transmission housing in half. Getting ready to put a new tranny in this weekend so at least it will be moving under its own power again, but 40 degree weather with no doors is pretty chilly!

I think I still have a video on my comp of that day. You were really railing on your rig.

Yeah, this time around I am going to at least try not to run it so hard. That will probably last for all of about a week. It's just too much fun, when I go to ripping on it there is no stopping ('til I get stuck or something breaks). Gotta learn to take it easier.

Dude, so far yours if definately the worst. That K5 got F'd in the A! I couldn't imagine doing that much damage at once, without involving heavy exsplosives and a cliff.

How's it doing now? Are you gonna go truggy wit it?

Worse day for your rig...or for you?:haha:

I'm saying it was worse for the rig, and also not so good for him. Poor old truck prob sat in the parking lot, watching the whole thing, feeling betrayed and used.:(

No truggy. I'd like to but I lack the skill needed for a project like that (welding) and don't have the money to pay someone else to help me with it. I found a Jimmy around here for $350 that has a locked up motor and the interior is trashed. I will either take the tranny out of it and put in mine or take my lift, front and rear ends, motor, and interior out of the Blazer and put in the Jimmy. The only problem with that is my Blazer is TBI and the Jimmy is not. I don't think it would be that hard to swap everything over. Just a little time consuming.

Worst day ever:
Went to patch a hole in the floor and the blazer was out of commision for 5 weeks while I had a brand new whole damn floor out of 14 gauge sheet.
